Last week Prime Tour Ltd. has made one more step towards international tourism networking by participating in the world’s largest travel trade fair ITB Berlin. This great event was held in Berlin during 5 days (March 8-12) for the 51st time and welcomed more than 10,000 organizations and companies from 184 countries working in the international tourism market.
According to many experts ITB Berlin is a global mirror of international tourism industry and as no other tourism event reflects all major trends in the development of this business area. ITB presents all segments of the tourism industry – international tourism federations, national and regional tourism organizations, travel and transport agencies, tour operators, hotels, insurance companies and much more.
This year the exhibition area with its 26 pavilions has increased from 580 to 150,000 square meters, while the total number of visitors exceeded 180,000 person. The progressive expansion of world tourism business influencing many countries can be clearly seen, e.g., by increasing number of participants (32 companies) from the Middle East. Only UAE and Qatar Airways occupied 3380 sq.m. of the working place. Noting such a large scale of the fair our daily shedule was really overloaded – in addition to pre-scheduled business program, Prime Tour team members took part in several seminars, expert meetings and presentations. In a word, the ITB Berlin is really a great way for everyone to discover the whole world within a few spectacular hours of both business and entertainment.
